If a desired mission has a high number of players actively taking it, it may fail to appear as there are only so many that can be served at a time due to various constraints such as mission locations.

General information regarding in game events and planned updates.
The intention of Character Repair is to help in situations when a player is stuck in the world and needs to be moved to their home location. This is all it does, and can be found to use on the RSI website.
Unfortunately Character Repair will not help you in 90% of cases of problems, ship and item losses.
It is unlikely to help with connection issues, other than being stuck connected to a shard in that it has the possibility of kicking connections.
Although it may mention Character Reset on the page, it is not possible to reset your character account.

It is still possible to glitch through locked doors using containers.
CIG have enabled more features in EAC and are continuing to monitor possible exploits and duplications, issuing bans accordingly.

However at the time of writing while the changes appear to be much better in terms of usability, there may still be instances of problems with some ships, such as the Asgard, and art assets at some locations that have not been updated to work with the new interactions.

With every new patch it is unfortunately very likely that some ships and items may become lost, beyond the expected consumables and refinery jobs that happens every patch.
You can try to file a ticket with CIG, but if it is not a pledged item, it is highly unlikely there will be any support or possibility to recover it.
Issues related to ship, component and other items are still under investigation and not resolved, in addition to no official word on why this keeps happening, and seemingly at random.
Items lost as a result of normal play or bugs that are either pledged or account bound will be returned in the next patch.

Most of the issues in Star Citizen are server or game logic related and as such cannot be fixed by reinstalling the game, or your entire operating system.
This assumes in good faith that there is nothing technically wrong with the system you are running the game on.
Please avoid turning your PC inside out to get around a bug.

If a player starts at, or their last known location is their Home Residence, they will load into their Persistent Hangar. At other locations, the expectation is that the player will awake in a hab at that location, or in a medical bed if the player had died prior to disconnecting.
Some ships have a bed that offers the ability to "bed-log", which allows the player to load in on their ship, provided that they own that ship, it is in space or landed, both outside of an Landing Zone. The prompt for this is given when laying down in the bed, holding F.
It is possible however due to a bugs that this option is not available, incorrectly marked as being in a landing zone, in active combat, or if the F prompt is not accessible due to bad placement or in some cases depending on the character model or equiped armor are in the way.
CIG have announce their intention to allow bed-logging in any ship regardless of whether it has a bed or not, but would have consequences.

The first is typically the first Tuesday of the month, the second roughly a week later. This which would be the deadline to subscribe to qualify for that month.
What rewards are made available are not known ahead of time.

List of current persisting critical and game breaking issues, potential workarounds.
Sometimes the game fails to load or report an error.
This is generally due to the game matchmaking assuming your affinity to one shard and trying to connect you, regardless of the one you chose and failing to do so.
Open the terminal with tilde (key commonly directly below ESC) and write r_displayinfo 1 to show diagnostic information.
You should see Entities increase while the game attempts to load.
If this number is increasing or at a high number, it means the game is currently succeeding in loading assets, but may need a few more minutes. Please wait for this until either it finishes, or throws an error.
If this number is 0, kill the game client and wait up to 15 minutes and then retry to join on another shard or friend as soon as the game allows.
Character Repair may work as it can potentially kick you from the game, but no evidence or guarantee that will.

It is currently a known and long standing issue that in-game assets can disappear between patches. This is under investigation.
It is advised to ensure that your ships are stored properly, and not make any in-game ship purchases only a few hours before a patch.
Any pledged ships or items lost should be investigated via request with Customer Services.
Pledge or otherwise account bound items commonly return next patch.

Issue CouncilA very common issue that prevents access to the LIVE PU is the result of either not having, or accidentally melting Game Package with a pledged ship from the store.
It should be possible to use the Buy Back option, or another will need to be purchased to access the game again.
It may be necessary to completely log out first.

Issue CouncilThese can happen frequently and at random, and seem to be related to player activity.
As servers are now meshed and localised around each of the planets of Stanton and Pyro, and major stations in Pyro, if a server error occurs it will be limited to the area it happened.
For instance, if a server error happens around Crusader, those not around it are unaffected.
The server errors themselves should resolve quickly within a couple of minutes, however can take significantly longer.
It has been seen that recovery from a server errors will always happen, unless an error indicates that it couldn't.

Issue CouncilAt present it seems to take up to 15 minutes to release your player from connection to a shard before you can join another.
In some cases it seems to take significantly longer, as some players have reported being locked out for days.
There is no fix for this except for waiting, and trying again.
Character Repair has no provable affect on fixing this, but it does not hurt to try.

It is possible to be caught in a situation where Reposition Player fails to put you somewhere useful. This should be immediate but you can be locked in this state, unable to more or interact.

There is no known reason for this issue beyond possible backend changes. The only possible workarounds are to get help of others players to take you elsewhere, or change shards. Set imprint elsewhere.

When logging in and spawning from a hab it is not possible to get up after pressing any combination of F, Y, W or any key that would ordinarily raise you. This is apparently caused by loading into the same location as another player at the same time.
Only workaround is to relog.

It is possible to suddenly experience suffocation, audible gasping, and a 'fire' icon appearing on the hud.
This is commonly due to having two helmets accidentally equipped at the same time, one physically present, the other in stowed state.
Remove the first helmet then use Alt+H to equip second helmet, or change undersuits. Not fixed as of 3.24
It is common for markers for accepted contracts to not show.
Workaround via Alt+F4 to quit the game and reload. This should restore the marker for the contract you accepted.

Crossing server boundary while in Quantum Travel cancels without warning. Not being interdicted.
